Rihanna Gets Sexy In Suspenders For The Cover Of Complex
I was having the conversation the other day that we live in a good time for women's bodies. When I came up as a young, hippy (the body part, not the life philosophy) teen, the style icons of the day were supermodels like Kate Moss and celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, all breastless bony chests and flat butts and toothpick legs. I could not wear their Calvin Klein column dresses without looking like a triangle. Sadness ensued. But these days, my child-bearing hips are overjoyed to have the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce defining sexiness, with their endless curves and fit (but not emaciated) figures.
Thankfully they are also not shy about showing these bodies off, especially not RiRi, as is evidenced by her newest magazine cover. The sultry pop star graces the cover of Complex wearing nothing more than slouchy black trousers, a camo bra, and Chanel suspenders, accessorized with oversize hoop earrings and a bandana in her hair. She looks so good I wish I could build a time machine and take a copy of this magazine to my self-loathing thirteen year old self, appearing in the middle of the night to comfort her with the state of the things to come.
What do you think of Rihanna's look?
