Would You Rock: These Red Patent Chunky Mary Janes?
While I love THE IDEA of mary janes, something in my all-black-wearing 30-year-old self instinctively fliches away from them. It's definitely not that they're TOO 90s (because that demarcation does not exist in my wardrobe) and it's not that they're too clunky (because neither does that one); I think it's just that as a 5'8 woman with child-birthing hips, I feel a little ridiculous in little girl shoes. That being said, I still think they are super cute and applaud you ladies who can pull them off without looking like Veruca Salt.
