An entire adolescence of frizzy hair and acne and braces and head gear (yes HEAD GEAR) is probably the reason that to this day compliments tend to make me rather uncomfortable (and also probably the root of a myriad of other problems I will save for therapy and not include in this fashion post). So the idea of boldly giving myself a compliment via my clothing, such is the case with this Motel dress with the word "Babe" emblazoned in drippy hot pink sequin letters, practically gives me hives. And while I envy and applaud women with bold self-confidence, I don't know if I am so into the bravado of this sort of outfit. But that may be residual head gear trauma talking, who knows?
