I've basically been waiting in eager anticipation for this to come out since the moment the news was announced that they would be adapting the graphic novel Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World into a film. Also it stars Micheal Cera (NBD) as jobless musician Scott Pilgrim who falls in love with Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but has to defeat all seven of her evil ex-boyfriends before they can be together. Check out the second extended trailer below:
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of one of the most beloved comic companies ever, French boutique Colette has commissioned a line of designer accessories inspired by DC characters. As a former comic book dork (I collected the trading cards as well and still have them somewhere in my mom's garage) I am more than thrilled over this news. Items will include Catwoman thigh high boots by Roger Vivier, Green Lantern gloves designed by Karl Lagerfeld, and a Wonder Woman dress by Sonia Rykiel (all pictured above). You can purchase these items (and more) HERE. Check out the original inspirations below:
While Darlene Conner has long been one of my top style icons, I always thought I was alone in my worship of the incredible outfits worn by the whole cast of Roseanne. Then I found Third and Delaware the blog of "fashion highlights from every single episode of Roseanne." You can check out Jackie's many cardigans, Darlene's collection of various flannels, and of course, Roseanne's outlandish looks (including her Prince halloween get-up, pictured below). Enjoy, and you're welcome.
We've been obsessed with the collaboration between awesome Americana brand Pendleton and the best store for all things Chloe Sevigny, Opening Ceremony since they launched last year in Tokyo. Buzznet Editor Aviva Yael and I first saw the goods at the grand opening of the Tokyo store in Shibuya (you can see the amazing photos HERE).
Here are some of our favorite looks from their forthcoming Fall/Winter 2010 collection, which features re-colored wools and custom prints. And here's a tidbit: we spotted Devendra Banhart at Coachella rocking the men's navajo shorts. NOT TOO SHABS, fellas.
The collection will be available exclusively at OC Los Angeles, OC New York, OC Tokyo, and online.
Jordan Rubin is a totally succesful comedy writer who has written for the likes of Crank Yankers and the MTV Movie Awards, and according to his IMDB, was in something called Superhero Movie playing the part of "The Guy Who Wipes Wolverine's Ass" (his scenes got deleted though so the world will never get to witness that bit of glory). But the best thing he has ever and probably ever will do in his life is the image below of the best fake IPhone inbox EVER. Follow him on TWITTER.
Dancehall fusion duo Switch and Diplo of Major Lazer have teamed up with electro-pop darling La Roux for a new mixtape titled Lazerproof. The record features cameos from Amanda Blank and Rusko as well as Drake and Gucci Mane (in the form of samples). It's fun and summery and funky and best of all it's FREE.
You can download the mix HERE.
I'm not sure what's going with Mick Jagger's blood (besides most likely a mysterious mixture of scotch and pure rock n' roll) but someone needs to clone his DNA immediately. His gaggle of fifty or so children defies reality. Each is more beautiful than the next, not the least of which being Georgia May Jagger, one of his two daughters with former model Jerry Hall. Georgia is gap-toothed and gorgeous, resembling a young Brigitte Bardot. It's no wonder then that Karl Lagerfeld, with his impeccable eye, took notice of her and put her in Chanel's Cruise 2011 campaign. Here are some sneak peeks of the photos:
Kerin Rose is one of the most interesting people I know. The flame-haired vixen is behind all the killer sunglasses you've been seeing on Rihanna, Gaga, and a slew of other envelope-pushing, trend-setting pop stars. Well known for her love of the avante-garde and dislike of wearing pants, Rose uses Sawrovski crystals, spikes, lace, studs, and vision to create wearable works of art (under the name a-morir) that have launched a fleet of imitators (the likes of Chanel included). But there will ever only be one Kerin Rose.

I'm so into Poketo. Founders Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung have devoted their lived to bringing incredible art into everyone's lives through cute functional lifestyle products, which means I get to fill my home with Forest Monster mugs, Mini Designer Blind Box Chairs, and Moustache Cards. But their latest gem of a product has my inner brainstormer psyched. The Poketo Idea Book is a notebook with a twist: each page has two large boxes on it, for main ideas, and room around them, for multiple clouds of your genius to take form. Storm on, my friends.
Even though the Diplomats have seemingly parted ways never to utter sweet ayos into my ear ever again, the music lives on in my Itunes (and in the ever pleasing Dipset radio station on my Pandora). But what of the poetry, you may ask? Well look no further, my fellow Cam'ron aficionados, because Dipset Haiku is here. A few literary-minded souls have gathered the work of our generation's Beat poets into a handy website. An example post:
Boss of all bosses
Slang'd rock gather no mosses
Cut yey and losses
Eat your hearts out Blake and Buson, this is Jim and Juelz at their finest. As the tagline of the site goes, "It's crack, but poetry. HOLLA."
